Did you know that most employers are looking for skills learned not just in the classroom but through extracurricular activities?
Are you interested in showcasing your student organization to employers who value the skills your members are developing?
The Career Center invites student organization leaders to register their organization for the Reverse Career Fair, March 29, 2019. Remove the stress of approaching employers; let them come to you. Each registered student organization will receive a table, and attending employers will be the ones walking around the fair. You will need at least 2 representatives at your assigned table throughout the fair. There is no cap on number of members who can attend to represent your organization. We ask that your table have a display, which could be a poster, signage, pamphlets or projects that represent your organization. (Examples of projects are good ice breakers that allow you to talk about things you know and skills you used.)
The Career Center will also be holding a Best Booth Contest, with a $200 cash prize to be deposited in your organizations account. Employers will be judging this contest based on four select criteria.
- Did your booth represent the purpose/objective of your organization?
- Were the accomplishments of your organization clearly defined?
- Were the student representatives articulate and engaging?
- Did your booth have an element of appeal that attracted the employer?
Employers will be receiving an invitation to attend this event with a listing of all organization that will be represented. We encourage that any interested organization register as soon as possible to be included within this listing.
This event is free but space is limited. Again, this is a great opportunity to connect with employers interested in hiring students like you- those that are involved outside of the classroom.
